CURATORIAL Statement

Envisioning Architecture celebrated the re-opening of the Museum of Modern Art, New York in 2004. Key moments within architecture's history selected from the Museum's architecture and design collection were exhibited to chronicle a century of modernist architecture. The exhibition began with contemporary architecture, juxtaposing with early twentieth century project to speak of themes -- such as those of the private house or the tall building -- that continue to be domains for invention and innovation.
